A short class activity

  1. 1. Choose a question.

Start with prediction confidence, sequence-to-structure, or proteins and leaf traits.

  2. 2. Connect the vocabulary.

Read a short glossary path, compare nicknames with technical names and follow the sources.

  3. 3. Inspect an existing protein.

Optionally look up a UniProt accession. Discuss average pLDDT, uncertain regions and why shape is not proof of function.

  4. 4. Check and discuss.

Answer a comprehension question. Incorrect answers lead to review before the next check; students can skip or revisit steps.

What teachers can review

For signed-in students, authorized teachers can view quiz attempts, explicitly checked study-plan steps per protein and tutor questions. An unchecked step signals an opportunity for follow-up—not proof of difficulty or time spent learning.

Teacher access must be assigned separately; creating a student account does not grant access to other students.

Before a school pilot

Use the no-login demo to evaluate the learning experience first. Before collecting student records, establish appropriate consent, retention, school control and deletion arrangements. This app does not claim FERPA or COPPA compliance.

Definitions and AI explanations need instructor review. Predictions do not replace experiments, and the Monstera example does not identify a causal gene for fenestration.
